ICF Mentor Coaching with Real Clear

Coaching is a craft. Mentor coaching is the space to refine it.
I offer supportive, practical mentor coaching that helps you deepen your skills against the ICF Core Competencies and prepare confidently for performance evaluations. This is a learning partnership that focuses on your coaching, not your business model or marketing.

Who this is for

  • Coaches working towards ACC or PCC
  • ACC coaches renewing their credential
  • Experienced coaches wanting focused skills feedback

What you will gain

  • Clear, specific feedback linked to the ICF Core Competencies
  • A safe space to practise, reflect and grow
  • Guidance on preparing and selecting recordings for your performance evaluation
  • Increased confidence in presence, listening, ethics, contracting and evoking awareness

How we will work together

Mentor coaching with Lisa is structured and humane. Sessions are steady, reflective and practical.

  • Start session
We set your goals, clarify your pathway, and agree how we will work.
  • Observed coaching and feedback
You coach. I observe and offer strengths-based, competency-linked feedback. We focus on what advances your coaching presence and impact.
  • Deliberate practice between sessions
You apply insights in real sessions, gather reflections and, where relevant, share recordings for targeted feedback next time.
  • Review and next steps
We check progress, capture evidence of development, and plan what will help you continue to grow.

ICF requirements at a glance

If you are applying for an ICF credential or renewing ACC, the ICF requires:

  • 10 hours of mentor coaching completed over a minimum of three months.
  • At least 3 hours must be one-to-one. The remaining hours can be one-to-one or group (group size capped by ICF).
  • Your mentor coach must hold a current ICF credential, as Lisa does. More about Lisa here.

I align my offer to these requirements. We will plan your schedule so you meet them comfortably.

My approach

  • ICF-aligned: Grounded in the ICF Core Competencies, PCC Markers and Code of Ethics.
  • Strengths-based and trauma-informed: Encouraging, honest feedback that builds skill and confidence.
  • Practical: Concrete suggestions you can use in your very next session.
  • Real Clear lens: I bring my Mental Fitness framework and a working knowledge of cognitive neuroscience to support presence, regulation and reflective practice.

What mentor coaching is and is not

  • Mentor coaching is skills development based on observed coaching and competency-linked feedback.
  • Mentor coaching is not therapy, counselling, business consulting or exam guarantees. Your results come from your practice and reflection.

FAQs

Do you guarantee a pass?
No. Mentor coaching supports your learning and readiness. No mentor can guarantee outcomes. We focus on building observable competence in line with ICF standards.

Can I count group hours?
Yes. You need at least 3 hours one-to-one. The rest can be one-to-one or group within ICF limits. We will plan the mix that suits you.

Who can be my mentor coach?
A coach with a current ICF credential. If they are ACC, they must have renewed at least once. Using a PCC or MCC can create flexibility if you later upgrade.

How long will it take?
ICF requires a minimum of three months. Many coaches choose to spread sessions over 3 to 6 months to allow practice and reflection.
