“Mental Fitness = being mentally, emotionally, psychologically and socially fit and well”

"Real Clear’s mental fitness training is absolutely brilliant and has had a great impact on my mental and physical health! I gained a new perspective on a really stressful situation, increased my self-awareness and built great skills and knowledge on how to manage stress at work and in my private life. I have much better focus and concentration. My mind is so much calmer." Asia Allison, Senior Organiser, GMB Union

At Real Clear we’re passionate about helping people to be at their best. Since the 90s Lisa has been an avid reader and student of anything linked to human behaviour, psychology, neuroscience and more. What she realised over many years, was that there are some core themes that come up time and time again. Themes like being self-motivated, taking care of yourself, building your confidence and others.

Lisa started to map these themes out. Her thoughts were that if someone could achieve a good balance in all of the important areas that she’d read or studied, they’d be like a ‘super human’. She decided to call her findings ‘mental fitness’. ‘Mental’ as a quicker way of saying ‘mental, psychological, emotional and social’ and because mental health has become a popular term. ‘Fitness’ because most people tend to take a more active approach to getting fitter, whereas health can be a bit more passive, or the luck of the draw.

We have our unique model of mental fitness which we’re very proud of because we know it’s easy to understand and apply to real life. We’d love to share it with you too.

Our core belief is that anyone can get mentally fitter, and that their life experiences will be better if they do.

What we offer:

  • Mental Fitness audit: We have our unique mental fitness self-audit that forms the starting point for our coaching and workshops. Each participant reflects on the components of mental fitness and scores themselves based on how healthy they are. We collect their scores and send them a simple report that shows them how mentally fit they are right now. We know that scores will go up when people set goals to improve their mental fitness.
  • Mental Fitness coaching: We work one to one with individuals to help them set their mental fitness goals and achieve them. Coaching usually takes place on a monthly basis for an agreed number of months. Those we’ve worked with tell us that they feel better equipped to deal with life’s challenges as a result.
  • Mental Fitness workshops: We support teams to help each member set individual mental fitness goals and to work together to improve systems and practices so that everyone in the team can thrive. Workshops can be anything from a couple of hours to full days.

We will always tailor our training to meet your needs. Please get in touch with any enquiries.
