We want a world that is rooted in fairness, decency, kindness, and fun. A world that values people and planet and aims to make things better for generations to come. Our vision is to help socially-minded organisations and individuals to be at their best, and to have fun while they do great work, keeping going no matter how tough things can seem at times.

Our Mission

We provide excellent and enjoyable coaching, training, and related products to our people; organisations and individuals who are socially minded. We serve them to the best of our ability, so that they can make a difference to society.

By ‘socially minded’ we mean:

  • Not solely profit led…We work with not-for-profits, charities, and public sector. We also work with for-profit organisations that have a social cause (as an example: a coaching company that works with schools would fit this bracket).
  • Cares about making a difference to society. The work the organisation/individual does must contribute to improving outcomes for society. Examples include schools, charities, health professionals, trade unions, universities, other types of unions, political organisations.
  • For-profit organisations that give a 5% or higher percentage of profit to support social causes would count as socially minded, providing they can evidence that they honour their promise.
  • Certified B-Corps. (Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.)

1. Living up to Our Name:

Being 'Real': this means we are authentic with people. We don’t put on masks or try to pretend we’re something that we’re not. This also means that we work with people on what is real for them. We find out about their real issues and goals before we work with them. Whilst we draw upon theories and research, our aim is to make sure we live this value by rooting what we do in what is really going on for the people we work with, using real examples where possible.

Being 'Clear': this means making sure that people always know where they stand with us. Those who attend training or coaching should come away with clear knowledge that will help them be at their best. They should gain clarity from working with us.

Coaching: we take a coaching approach to our work, which includes providing coaching as a paid for service, but also in how we treat each other as a team. This means that we use the skills of coaching, such as active listening, empathy, asking quality questions and focusing on strengths as our default.

2. Being Decent People:

Decency: everyone who encounters Real Clear or works with us in any way should experience us as behaving with decency. That is that we operate in line with moral, legal, and ethical principles. We value diversity and treat our team and those we work for with the utmost respect. We actively work to be inclusive to all by checking in advance of any training courses, for any learning or other needs so that we can accommodate all. Our externally accredited courses are checked to ensure that they are accessible and demonstrate valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Quality work: we pride ourselves on making sure that what we offer is high quality. This means that our team are excellent at what they do and that what we share is research backed. Several of our courses are externally checked and accredited. We commit to continuing professional learning.

Fair and transparent pricing: we are upfront about what we charge and why. We are fair and transparent with our associates as to how much they will be paid. We charge prices that are fair to us, but lower than typical for the work we do. This is so that our markets are more likely to be able to hire us, given they don’t have the large budgets that bigger corporations may have. To save costs we only spend money on essentials and don’t charge our customers extra for unnecessary ‘bells and whistles’ such as glossy printed handouts.

Social justice: we want to help to make the world a better place for those who are currently living and working in it, as well as future generations.

Integrity: we walk our talk and aim to model the change we wish to see in the world. We do this in any situation, not just while we are working.

3. Having Fun while doing good:

We want people who work with and for Real Clear to have fun while they learn and work. We believe that they’ll be more motivated, focused and determined if positive change is also enjoyable! We try to look after ourselves well so we can show up as our best and enjoy our work. We directly teach topics such as Mental Fitness, to help others to do the same.
